STAY-AT-HOME / FUNDRAISING / SOBER ISLAND BREWING CO
When Nova Scotia’s “Stay Home” order was given in Spring of 2020, it was a tough pill to swallow. But Nova Scotians are 14/10 up for any challenge.
For a brand like Sober Island Brewing Co, it was tough to make sense of this—after all, the brand’s core belief is that outdoor adventure is important and worthwhile. To show our support for the provincial lockdown, we changed our logo temporarily, from the icon of a sailing ship to that of a cozy cabin. From there, we finished the logo by swapping “Sober Island” with “Stay At Home”, and slapped it on a t-shirt.
This shirt, sold exclusively online for charity support, raised over $6500 for COVID-19 research. And that, my friends, is how a small brewery focused on being outdoors can stand up to a challenge in the toughest times.
